WHAT A WAY TO START SPRING BREAK!!!

"OK HERE WE GO"
"BARE DOWN DIG DEEP"
"WHAT DO YA SAY NOW"
"GOTTA HAVE IT, GOTTA HAVE"
"ON YOUR TOES, C'MON TO YOU"

This is what I have been saying since almost everyday since January 30, 2009. And while I absolutely love my job, I am pretty burned out from three day road tips and 12hr work days. The season is only half way done but it is SPRING BREAK!!! I am SUPER EXCITED. I could definitely use a few days of rest before we get into the really tough part of the season. Five days of totally relaxation...yes...it has never sounded so sweet.

Any way, the point of this is to let you in on how I spent the first night of my SPRING BREAK. While I should have been doing this

Because it was late...

But do you know what I was doing? I was standing in line at Wal-Mart of almost an hr waiting for the arrival of

Can I just say that I have never been that person who waits for items like this. I have never really cared about new releases. I usually wait for the hype to die down and see it when I get around to it; but this one I just had to have. I mean I did not see the movie when it came out but I have read the series (well almost, I'm half way dine with Eclipse)

So after our last game ended at 8:00 and I went home to pack change and shower, it was time to hit the road. My sister and I drove two hours to Atlanta, GA and arrived around 11:00. We remembered that we wanted to get the movie because at midnight, it would be on sell for $17.00. We were not sure if this was right so we called Wal-mart in Peachtree City. The first words out of her mouth was "Is this about Twilight?" We we replied "Yes" She then informed us that it was like a party here and if we wanted a copy than we had better hurry up.

We threw on some sweats and proceeded to go after our movie. They had lots of free soda's, snacks, and were conducting a raffle for the movie. The wait was very entertaining. I have never seen so many people wait for one product. I felt like the mine would never move and that all of this waiting would be for nothing. But then things started looking up. The lined moved and we got our movie for the grand OLd price of $17.00 I was supper excited. What a way to kick off my SPRING BREAK!!

Sleepy???

Today is National Nap Day. I don't know about you but this daylight savings thing has really got me feeling a little tired. I could definately use a nap. Studies have proven that more Americans fall asleep at work today than any other day. Get some rest, its going to be a long week.

C'mon Guys

Ok, so its either one of two things...either ya'll don't want to partcipate in this FUN project or No One loves me. I hope that it is the first option. So I posted the service idead taht I stole from Angie last week and only one person responded. PLEASE give me something to do. Here is a new rule. You don't have to pay it forward. Just comment and I'll make you something, anything (with in reason). Okay so plese post a commment, you do not have to do the same on your site.

Help Me...Help you!!

I forgot to title it
No I stole this form John and Angie's blog but I am an desperate need to perform a few serice projects. I am going through a bit of a rough patch and I really need to focus on serving others so please help me out.

Here are her rules

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!
My choice. For you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It’ll be done this year. {Translation: you may be waiting a little while}
4. You have no clue what it’s going to be … it may be cards, vinyl lettering, a bookmark, something knit or crocheted or a complete surprise to you (and me!) … Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
6. Most importantly, you must offer the same deal on your blog - the first 5 people to comment on your blog (or if you do not have a blog, facebook) get something made by YOU! If you’re not the kind of person that wants to make something tangible for others, how about some kind of service for them, any type, any size.

Now I am by no means a home maker, nor am I the most creative person...so I will have to be put mind to work. I will promise one thing. What ever it is, it will come form the heart. Plese leave a few things that you are intereted in eg. your favorite color, favorite food, types of activites that you enjoy, how may kids you have (and their ages) etc... Also, I would like you address so that you girft will be recieved via mail. If you are not comfortable with posting it, then feel free to email me at drea92083@yahoo.com

Oh ya, I have a long weekend, I am leaving for a softball tournament and will not be back until Sunday so you have all weekend to post a comment. I will check my bolg on Monday morning.

PLEASE HELP!!!! I need to work.

Two Miracles in One day...Miracle #2

So the second miracle is definitely a miracle to me. It is one of those things that are for sure a part of life but it is also included in the miracle of life. Lets just get to the point...Andrew took j=his first step!!!! I know, I am totally being dramatic but what a blessing it is to watch your children grow , change, and develop right in front of you eyes. He has reached one of many great mile stones and I am thrilled!

Two Miracles in One day...Miracle #1

OK so I'm sure that you have already heard by now...but in Sunday we had a Georgia Snow!!! YEA!!! I love the snow. If it is going to be cold, I should at least have something nice to look at or play in (as mentioned in my previous post) But the miracle is because the day before the snow, I wasn't even wearing a jacket. I mean it totally came out of no where, and of course,we were saying that the weather man was once again lying because "how can it snow when it is soo hat." But it did. I mean we entered church in the rain and left in a 1/2 foot of snow.

A change in the economy

(this in the only picture that I have of him right now..haha)

So yes the economy is bad and things are only getting worse, But I have to say that they are really starting to turn around in the Smith Family. Andre's has a job opportunity to work right here in Milledgeville, YEA!!!! He had an interview and now we are waiting on the background check and physical to go through. They are currently working on the contract with GA Power so lets all pray that everything stays on track and goes as planned. (we can't count the chickens before the eggs hatch)If you don't know, he is currently working in Atlanta and commuting two hours (4 round trip) everyday. He has an opportunity to make A LOT more money right here in Milledgevile. This means more time with the family, less money on gas, and a huge sigh of relief in our financial status. We are so grateful for the job. Oh ya and it is ran by a group of LDS men so that is even better!!! What a blessing. He gets to stay close and have the ultimate work environment. I am so proud of him.

I hate the COLD

27 F, Sunny and feels like 16 F..This is the weather report for today. It is one of those FREEZING cold days in Georgia. If it is going to be cold than it should at least snow..then I would have something pretty to look at...but it doesn't it 's just miserably COLD!!!

I can never get warm or find the right things to wear. I like to look nice but if I dress up than I am cold and if I wear sweats than I look like a bumb...I wish that the warm weather would hurry up. I know that Ferbuary just began but it can't end fast enough...COME ON SPRING...

new blog page

Okay, so I have been missing in action for the last month. The holidays were crazy... In the beginning of December I was involved with a service project. Our team fundraised money for a family of four. We wanted to give them the Christmas that they never had; so we went to the store and bought all kinds of presents. About a week later some of my players dressed up as Santa, Rudolph, and an Elf to deliver the presents...it was the cutest thing ever!! The look on thier faces was priceless. Photo's are soon to follow

Later I had to go to Florida for a coaching convention. I have never seen soo many coaches in one place. We were able to learn from the best and was amazing. We sat in on seminars hosted by Olympic softball players and strength coaches form the NY Yankees. Needles to say, I was overwhelmed with information but is was great to learn form the best.

Christmas was great!! Were able to spend Christmas with my family in Atlanta and New Years in Texas with Andre's Family... that was tons of fun. (PICS IN A MIN)

N E Way..lets get to why I am catching you up on the last month and why I have a new blog page. SOooo I was trying to change my background page when all of a sudden all of my widgets, pictures and links disappeared. I was so frustrated. Then when I tried to change my setting back to the old setting, everything was gone...even the layout for my page elements were missing...SOooo here I am on a new page trying to get back what I used to have. If any of you were followers, feel free to follow again, and if you were not, feel free to start. It is a new years and I can not wait to share our many family momments with you!!! :-)
